Introduction
Welcome to the class newsletter of ACS Sixth Grade at Connecticut Korean Presbyterian Church! Here, you'll find the latest news, updates, and important information about our community and our faith-based activities.
News and Events
1. Monthly Community Service
As part of our commitment to serving our community, our sixth-grade class will be participating in a monthly community service project. We believe in teaching our students the values of kindness, compassion, and empathy from an early age. By engaging in community service, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility and encourage active citizenship among our students.
2. Youth Retreat
We are excited to announce that a youth retreat is scheduled for all sixth-grade students. This retreat will provide an excellent opportunity for our students to strengthen their faith, build friendships, and deepen their understanding of their spiritual journey. It will be a meaningful experience filled with engaging activities, empowering workshops, and inspiring messages.
Curriculum and Academic Updates
1. Math Mastery Program
In an effort to enhance our students' mathematical abilities, we have introduced a math mastery program. This program focuses on developing a strong foundation in core mathematical concepts, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking abilities. Our dedicated teachers are committed to providing engaging lessons and personalized support to ensure the success of every student.
2. Language Arts Enrichment
We believe that literacy skills are essential for academic success and personal growth. To foster a love for reading, writing, and effective communication, our language arts program incorporates a variety of engaging activities, including book discussions, creative writing workshops, and public speaking opportunities. Our goal is to nurture confident, articulate, and expressive individuals.
Upcoming Projects
1. Science Fair
Our annual science fair is just around the corner! Students are encouraged to explore various scientific concepts, conduct experiments, and present their findings in an interactive and informative way. This event promotes scientific inquiry and encourages critical thinking among our sixth-grade students. We can't wait to see their innovative projects!
2. Cultural Heritage Day
Cultural Heritage Day is an exciting event that celebrates the diversity and richness of our community. Students will have the opportunity to learn about different cultures, traditions, and customs through presentations, performances, and hands-on activities. It's a day filled with learning, appreciation, and cross-cultural exchange.
Parent Involvement
We strongly believe in the importance of parent involvement in a child's education. Regular updates and communication channels, such as this newsletter, ensure that parents are well-informed about their child's progress and upcoming events. We encourage parents to actively participate in school activities, volunteer their time, and engage in open dialogue with their child's teachers.
