Volunteer Opportunities

We strongly believe in the power of giving back to our community. Whether it's assisting with local charity events, organizing food drives, or participating in community cleanup projects, our students actively contribute to making a positive impact on society.

Curriculum Highlights

Science

In our Science curriculum, we dive deep into the fascinating world of the solar system. Our expert teachers guide students through an exploration of the planets, their unique characteristics, and the wonders of outer space. Through hands-on experiments and interactive activities, our 5th graders develop a strong foundation in scientific inquiry and critical thinking skills.

Mathematics

Our Mathematics program is designed to sharpen students' problem-solving and analytical skills. We tackle challenging mathematical concepts, including geometry, fractions, decimals, and algebra. Our experienced instructors provide comprehensive lessons that empower students to excel in this fundamental subject.

English Language Arts

At Connecticut Korean Presbyterian Church, we place great emphasis on developing strong literacy skills in our 5th graders. Our English Language Arts curriculum encompasses reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary development, and writing. Through engaging books, thought-provoking discussions, and creative writing exercises, we foster a love for literature and effective communication.

Social Studies

Our Social Studies curriculum aims to deepen students' understanding of history, culture, and geography. From ancient civilizations to contemporary issues, we explore diverse topics that enable our 5th graders to appreciate different perspectives and develop global awareness. We encourage open dialogue and critical thinking, inspiring our students to become informed and active citizens.

Community Engagement

Connecticut Korean Presbyterian Church firmly believes in the importance of community engagement. We organize various events that encourage our 5th graders to connect with their peers, mentors, and local organizations. Through participation in community service projects, cultural celebrations, and recreational activities, our students develop a strong sense of belonging and unity.

Parent Involvement

We value the partnership between our educators and parents. Regular communication channels, including newsletters like this one, keep parents informed about their child's progress, upcoming events, and ways to support their academic journey. We encourage parents to actively engage with the Connecticut Korean Presbyterian Church community by attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering, and participating in school-wide initiatives.
